Partnering for Wildlife Rescue: A $250 Gift to WIRES
We’re thrilled to announce a $250 donation to WIRES Wildlife Rescue as part of our “The Buddy Project” initiative, extending the comfort of Buddy in a Box from cuddly plush friends to Australia’s native fauna. By supporting WIRES, we stand alongside the nation’s largest wildlife rescue organisation in their tireless mission to save, rehabilitate, and release injured and orphaned animals back into the wild. wildforlife.org.auWIRES
Why WIRES Matters
Since 1985, WIRES has been the premier voice for wildlife in Australia, operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, under a license from the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service. Their network of over 3,000 trained volunteers and full‑time mobile Emergency Responders provides rescue advice and hands‑on assistance, caring for more than 130,000 animals each year. From mobbing magpies to orphaned joeys, WIRES ensures that every creature—from the tiniest froglet to the grandest kangaroo—receives the specialised care it needs.
How Your Donation Helps
Our contribution goes directly toward:
-
Rescue Operations: Funding the Wildlife Rescue Office’s 24/7 helpline so no call for help goes unanswered.
-
Veterinary & Rehabilitation Support: Assisting with critical supplies—medications, feeding formula, transport equipment—and grants for trained carers.
-
Volunteer Training & Outreach: Empowering more community members with the skills to safely rescue and care for wildlife. WIRESWIRES
Extending Our Mission
At Buddy in a Box, every plush friend you purchase sends a powerful message of comfort—and now, with this gift to WIRES, that message reaches beyond human hearts to the wild ones who share our land. We believe that compassion knows no bounds, and through partnerships like this, we can foster hope for all living beings.
